Where does the weather data come from?

Earth's live weather is sourced from Open-Meteo, an open-source weather API, and refreshes every 15 minutes. Temperatures for other planets use published NASA/ESA scientific data combined with realistic diurnal cycle models.

Why is Earth's temperature different from my local weather app?

PlanetCast shows a representative global surface average, not your precise local temperature. It's meant to give context for how Earth compares to other planets, not to replace a local forecast app.

How do I unlock Moons & More?

Swipe to the last card in the carousel and tap "Watch an Ad to Unlock". Watching a short ad grants 24-hour access. A one-time in-app purchase is coming in a future update.

How do I change the temperature unit?

Tap the gear icon (⚙) in the top-right corner of the main screen. You can switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit in the settings sheet.

The app isn't loading Earth's temperature. What should I do?

Check your internet connection and try pulling down to refresh. Earth data requires a live network connection; all other planet temperatures are calculated on-device and work offline.

How do I opt out of personalised ads?

iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track".
Android: Settings → Google → Ads → "Opt out of Ads Personalisation".
